WebGL v11 Build Feature - Keeping it Simple
Lets start off with the new QOL for the game.
Added a New Function to explore the next area without "going back" to the Bridge/Menu. Reduce the back to bridge loot and it save a lot of time, making the "action" quicker.
Now comes the Biggest news for this Build, some key decision and direction changes.
The first being keeping this game much simpler and cutting out some other feature that i want to introduce and bring over from Voyager. But after rebuilding Voyager a little about a month plus ago. i have decided to keep Battle Bridge a game of its own and bring back to its initial idea. A combat focus version of voyager, and a Sci fi Rougelite game, sadly have to remove the "adventure part" that i would focus on Voyager itself.
also one of the biggest feature i want to do is to have a FPS style managing the "combat" phase but sadly due to pace the development, This feature is scraped. Very sad but its needed to complete this game as most of the blocking for Battle Bridge is done and also the lack of knowledge at this moment to do so . I will have to revisit this feature idea in the future aka i need level up more on my game Dev knowledge.
With this the major changes, actually not really a lot of changes just some restructuring and reorganizing some of the feature
The game loop was explore > find the jump gate to the next sector > Repeat. This has not change.
however now you cannot manage your "Ship" like changing weapons and repair ( might need to revisit this ) on the fly.
Now to manage your Ship, Upgrading your stats, Repair, Buy Sell Ship weapons and systems can only be done if you found the Jump gate. Which it will act as a "Safe Zone", I wanted to introduce a "Traveling Merchant" but for now this will be on the lower priority as i need to build the Feature.
Next is the ongoing Gameplay Balance between the Difficulty of Risk Vs Reward. which will have to be tested a much as i can and most update from now onwards would be mostly game balancing.
Lastly, Boss Fights. To complete the blocking stage of Battle Bridge i need Unique Boss fights. Currently Developing a little so not much to reveal yet.
annnnd that's it! Trimming out some feature save it for future prototype and ideas. Still have a long way more to go, but its coming.
